Hi jem and welcome!
I am sorry to hear of your anxiety and symptoms. We know how difficult this is to deal with, so know that you are not alone.
Morning anxiety is often high due to Cortisol, a stress hormone.
Upon waking, the level is at its peak...to give us the ability to get up and go after sleeping.
Anxious individuals either make too much Cortisol, or have a sensitivity to it...resulting in the type of symptoms you describe.
You are still in the early stages of your Rx start up. Within a few weeks, you should be seeing the beneficial effects.
However, medication is just part of a good management plan. Are you also doing therapy or self help?
If not, I strongly recommend it!
We have great self help material right here in our Resources. Find them at the top of the main forum page.
Keep posting with us as well! We understand, and support is key. :)
