I've been on the generic since August of 2014. It's just fine for me, and I'm the medicine sensitivity queen.
Do not discount the value in drinking a big glass of water, and going for a walk. Any exercise is helpful in keeping your blood flowing, and therefore helping the medicine to move into your body, and start helping.
Exercise also produces your body's own endorphins, so you will feel better.
Nutrition is also so very important, as SC mentioned. If your body doesn't have the fuel to work on, it will give you trouble just like a car with no oil.
Vent away, and let your wife be there for you once in a while. It's what a partnership is all about. Sometimes you are strong, and sometimes your partner is strong.
Hoping the best for you.
