What stress relieving exercises# coping skills have you tried?
Honestly, besides medication...these are going to be your best defense.
There are some herbs/holistic supplements ts that help calm some individuals, such as Chamomile, L-Theanine, Phenibut...
However, if these were reliable for the general population...
...then they would be more widely known/used.
How about therapy?
These are all things you can discuss with your doctor...
...and perhaps you can come up with a plan of trying a combination of self help and therapy, if you'd prefer to avoid meds...
The point is to get the ball rolling...and with your decision to go in, you've done so...great job!
