I was wondering what others feel/go through after a full blown panic attack occurs. I am 33 years old and have had anxiety issues since I was 15. I've been diagnosed as having panic disorder and/or social anxiety disorder (depending on the Dr.)
I found out I was pregnant in August and with advice from my OB decided to ween off of Paxil. I was only on 10 mg/day but my anxiety was in check and I hadn't had a panic attack in years. I was doing great for the past couple months with lots of exercise which I believe helped my anxiety & stress levels. But as I am getting bigger (7 months now) I have had to cut back on what I can do physically. I had been sick for about a week and had a short 2 day trip planned, and was taking Sudafed to help with congestion. I believe this coupled with coffee and the stress of flying is what caused me to have 2 severe panic attacks in 2 days. Yesterday I did not (thank god) but my anxiety is through the roof.
Today I feel weak, lethargic, tired, and out-of-sorts. I can't concentrate on anything and I get little twinge of fear in the pit of my stomach. I also have a slight headache and my whole body is tense. I am just wondering if anyone else gets like this after an intense attack. And how long do your symptoms last? Thanks.
