Hi

So I was walking home from work and a large amount of blood formed in my mouth which I spit out for about 10 minutes it has since stopped I have slight pain first under my right rib now it's the left bp is at 150/100 I am extremely scared and anxious I am going to find out I have cancer please help

How did a large amount of blood just form in your mouth?

Hi JG,

My friend recently caught an infection where he was coughing up blood, and it turned out to be a nasty virus. Also, as I'm sure you know, fear can send your bp sky high. Fingers crossed that all works out well, as I'm hopeful it will!

X-rays were good waiting for blood test results. Said not sure way it was as if it was internal typically it would be induced by cough or vomit which it wasnt

I am so sorry to hear this...of course you must be scared! Is someone there with you?

Have you had recent dental work?

Please let us know as soon as you can what is going on.

You are in good hands, so try to stay as calm as possible.

I had a blood clot in my nose due to dry heat that burst and caused blood to drop to my mouth. Am surprisingly in extremely good health which at least soothe my anxiety. Now the anxiety of the ambulance bill will be next :)

...though sorry about the scare and yes, ambulance bill! ;p
