Im so sorry for posting so much. I just feel like Im losing it. A couple hours ago I had a horrendous panic attack and almost crashed my car. Took me over half an hour to xalm down before I could drive to pick up my kids. I had a csection 9 weks ago and it was pretty tough. It was my 3rd baby. Since then Ive had digestive issues. Was put on zoloft right after having the baby as I was having day long panic attacks in the hospital. Anyways I just returned to work 2 weeks ago and noticed increase in dizziness and lightheadedness and some weird vision changes. Then started having some severe gastrointestinal issues which landed me in the ER a few says ago as I thought it was a heart attack. Was put on 3 different meds for what they suspect was a gerd or ulcers. Felt a little better but today was horrible. I didnt feel like myself and in fact it was like I had to focus real hard just to breath or talk. Couldnt focus to save my life and still had gastro issues. On my way home I suddenly was hit with a feeling of passing out, racing thumping heart, whole body was shaking something horrid and I was completely disoriented. Its now been 2 hours sinxe the attack and while I mentally feel much better since making it home I am having intense abdominal pain and bloating and gas again. I just want to hide in my room all day Im terrified of another attack or this feeling if not quite being there. Sorry for the rant...I just really needed to get this off my chest.

Are you saying you had a baby 9 weeks ago and you are back at work? I cannot imagine being able to do that myself. Your hormones are going to be up and down. I was a mess after pregnancy (17 years ago). Do you have any help? that is a lot of pressure. You should be proud of yourself. Hopefully the Zoloft will start kicking in soon. How much are you on? I am on 100 mg but it took some time.

Yeah this is my 3rd week back. My other two kids are 10 and 8. I didnt have anxiety until my middle child was 3 so anxiety and a newborn dont mix well lol. Im on 50 mgs. Not sure if i should have it upped.

Hi Cola

Congratulations on the birth of your child. I had 2 c-sections :). It takes a good 6 weeks to heal but because this is your 3rd I believe you said you may need more time . Why did you go back to work so early? Here in Canada we get 1 year off for mat leave. Is it different where you are. You definitely need time for your hormones to get back to normal. All those symptoms you mentioned sounds like anxiety. If your not feeling well still schedule an appt with your dr. To get checked again and to help reassure you everything is ok. I'm on Zoloft also. Give it time to work. Wishing you a spray recovery and think positive.

Thank you. I got 8 weeks for maternity leave here in Arizona. I was in the ER on Friday and a slew of tests done which confirmed Im perfectly healthy Im just dealing with some gastrointestinal issues which they think is peptic ulcers so thats what Im treating for. I think its just everything really piling up on me. I dont really have anyone I can talk to that understands. My husband tries to be supportive but sometimes he just makes it worst. He doesnt suffer so he doesnt get it. Sorry for being a total downer. Thank you for letting me vent.

If you need to chat. I'm here for you. I know how stressful being a parent and wife and dealing with anxiety is. I don't get how they think you have an ulcer? Did they do a test to confirm you do have it? Just wondering if you are taking something for nothing. Plus with a csection they move everything around so your body just needs to rest and heal.

Cola, Bambola is a good person to talk to, i call her Bambam. My youngest daughter had three
C sections, the last one took longer for her to get well from, don't get disappointed in yourself in due
time you will be your old self, perhaps even better, your still in our Prayers, Peace

They think its gastro and said my symptoms point to ulcers and gerd so they put me on medication for it. Not sure if its helping though. The chest pains went away though so that was a plus. The baby is still waking up ever 2 to 3 hours to feed so Im not able to get more than like 4 hours straight sleep if im lucky. Im just so tired i think.

Cola,

You've received some great support already...so I just want to add my encouragement.

Try and make time to practice coping skills everyday...

...I know, personal time...what's that right? With 3 kids and a job, it is surely scarce for you!

...but that is precisely why you need to make time to do this! Your mind and body are speaking up...and they are saying manage this anxiety...or we are going to keep making abundantly obvious to you that you are under too much stress!

10 minutes, twice a day could make a big difference.:)..Squeeze it in when you can!

Thanks you guys. The baby was up every few hours again last night so im tired but im drinking cold water instead of coffee and am trying to get some sunlight in for a bit.
