Wanted to do a distraction thread to celebrate the weekend and beginning of summer time!

Do you have any traditions you all do every summer? A favorite meal you all like to make during the hot months? A favorite cocktail maybe ;)?

Summer...everything Summer!!

Barbecue....eating outdoors (although to be honest, we do that year round just about in Ca.)

Sundresses, sandals... (I just bought two new pair)

...switching from red to white...for the most part...Oooh Sangria!.;)

Garden starting to produce...fruit ripening on the trees. White nectarines are out of control this year!!! Anyone want jam? :)

Mellow classes, with no Nutcracker or Spring Recital to prepare for...

...sleeping in, no carpool!

It's all good!! :)

it's winter here, so I am coming to blu's and SC place for a feed and a few coldies!!!!

OMGSH....

...we are forgetting our Aussie brothers and sisters...and really rubbing it in...sorry!!

Well...come January....we'll be singing the blues, and you'll be putting your toes in the warm sand. ;)

Not me, i am a winter guy, especially here in Texas, actually we have six months of Fall and six months of hell, i was told the devil had a place here in Texas and sold it, moved back to hell. lol

I love a BBQ we even do them in the rain here in Scotland lol although we are getting lovely weather at the moment.
