Overall, the week has been good. Today has been tough. My lexapro has made things manageable on most days, but I'm still not myself on my good days. It feels like my med evaluation in late August is a long way away. I hope the lexapro doesn't crap out completely on me.

Overall good week, although I have had periods of weepiness lately. That is unusual for me, but with everything new,(just moved across the country), it is just one more new thing. Wondering if I should find a therapist here. I had a great one before we moved.

Allergies are at an all time high this season, but other than that, doing pretty well.

Frustrations with my mother still getting the best of me.

Rspwed, I'm waiting for the other half of my Lexapro to kick in; went from 10 to 20mg I think). I see the doc Wednesday luckily. Need to vent?

hope, that's a big move and I'm contemplating doing that myself. Did you go east coast to west or vice versa?

Sophie, what are you allergic to? I hear you on the mother front. There's no changing some people, but you and I just have to change how we react to it which is not going to be easy.

I'm good smooth. Thanks. It's a roller coaster. Today is up. I just know that even at 30mg of lexapro I don't feel like myself, but I'm not increasing from there. I could talk to my GP about a change, but that doesn't make sense to me. I want someone with more expertise, so I have to wait until August so I can get in to see the Psych. and have him do the eval.
I guess we're not alone if the earliest you can get in to see a Psych is 3 months lol.

Rspwed, the idea is to not feel like yourself in a way. I have to have help and it took me twenty years to accept that. Make sure you're seeing a psychiatrist as they can prescribe meds where a psychologist can't. It stinks.

Yep. It's a psychiatrist. My therapist set it up specifically to evaluate my medications. She thinks, like me, that the Lexapro is losing it's effectiveness.

Doing really well! Continuing to cut out dairy hoping that will make a difference with my PMS (we will find out next week...) but overall everything has been smooth, calm and good. Rspwed, how long have you been on Lex?

Since March this time. I was off for about 6 months. I was on it for 10 years before that. Worked really well for me for those 10 years, I was on 10mg for the first 8 years or so, then 5mg after that. that's why I think it's crapping out on me since I'm now taking 3x's more than I ever did before.

Interesting. I ask because I just started it for the first time this past March. I am really liking it so far so it's good to hear it lasted you 10 years prior to this. I hope you find out what's going on and feel better :)

I seem to have allergies to anything I come into contact with. The Zyrtec doesn't seem to be helping much, but I appreciate its effort.
