Occasionally when i get super stressed or even just randomly i will go to bed and fall asleep within 20 minutes, only to be JOLTED away by panic half an hour later. My heart pounds, i feel like i cant catch my breath and i feel so out of control. After it is over, it takes me agggeeessss to calm down enough to fall asleep again. Just wondering has anyone else experienced this? Last night it happened in the form of me hyperventilating, i was almost asleep and then felt like i 'couldn't breathe' so i had to get out of bed to calm myself and it took over an hour to go back to sleep. I've had ECGs before and they've always come back normal, so i'm assuming it's part of the panic disorder? Any tips on how to minimize them?
