Scared but I did it

Couple of things I've done in the last day that are small steps in the right direction of healing:

- took my first pill of zoloft
- forced myself to go on an already arranged fun weekend with my family.
- continued reading a book and got the first real understanding of mindfulness.

Taking the medication was so nerve wracking - so many "what ifs". But I just stopped thinking about it and did it.
And I was feeling so beyond nervous about this trip. Thankfully it's only one night away. It hasn't been easy, but I'm glad I'm doing it.

To baby steps!


Anyone else have a small victory or step in the right direction they want to share?

Hi

That's great news well done on taking those small steps taking medication for the first time can be worrisome.

Keep going with the Mindfulness is it really does make a massive difference once you have mastered it.

Well done you... May seem like baby steps but i think its more like giant strides. Pat your self on the back you overcame 3 fears at once.

Yay! Great job! So proud of you! They may seem like baby steps, but we know better. I hope your recovery plan works wonders!

A couple months ago when I was really in the soup. The first time we went out to eat. That felt like a major victory. A baby step, but it didn't feel like it at the time.

Congrats on your forward progress!! Celebrate each step you take, no matter how small, because they are all important.
My step is going back on Sertraline (generic Zoloft) 2 weeks ago. I have a very hard time getting on meds but I know once it starts working, I'll be in a much better place.

Thanks for the kind support everyone!

The over-night trip was to the renaissance faire, so it is hard to be too upset watching a jousting match! ;D

And nothing bad about the Zoloft so far. Granted it's only been 2 days and a very low dose (25mg), but I'll take it!

We love taking the kids to the Renaissance Fair. It's only a half hour away for us here though.
Glad it wasn't too stressful.
