It is easy to feel stressed and anxious when little things are building up. Sounds like you have several little things going on that are piling up and making you feel stressed. All of those elements (illness, hormones, stress) can contribute to anxiety.
Can you set up an appointment with a therapist/counselor? What about trying some exercise? Any relaxation techniques work for you?
