You say:
You said you were taking Buspar (net says a minor tranquilizer) and Cymbalta (net says for major depressive disorder).
Then you add: "I can't swallow the cymbalta so I haven't started that yet. It's a Thick capsule and I have trouble swallowing. This has really worked me up to the point I feel like my life is OVER now because I rely on the Xanax because it works for the morning anxiety"
And you add, "I'm freaking out once I run out of my Xanax what am I going to do?"
I freak also, so I don't know what I would do, either. But you reached out for help and that's good.
The net is not a whole lot of help. I type in, "Cymbalta difficulty swallowing," and it says, "You have difficulty swallowing?" "No, I have difficulty swallowing Cymbalta, because it's a horse pill!"
But it doesn't understand. I went to "How to swallow pills," and it said, "Put it in with food," but if there is a big capsule in with the food, that could cause problems.
Then it says, "Don't cut up Cymbalta." Please!
If we could get you taking this Cymbalta, we might have this figured out. But I don't know how to swallow big capsules, either. I would try to swallow one, if I thought it was safe to do so.
Can you dip it in cooking oil, by putting a little cooking oil in a bowl, and getting the capsule greasy? What do you think?
Can you report back as to what's going on? The Buspar is about
the equivalent of Zanax, it says on the net, so I would at least be giving that a try.
When is your next appointment?
You say, "Has anyone had any experience with switching from Xanax to buspar? 3x a day is a lot to me to take a medication?"
First you say you don't think Buspar is up to your high standard of Xanax, so when Xanaz runs out, you're just not going to take anything.
Then you say, Buspar times a day sounds like too much. So first you say Buspar is not powerful enough. Then, you say, 3 times a day on Buspar sounds too powerful.
Whoa. You just switched to the other side of the field. I thought you wanted powerful. Well, you've got it with Buspar three times a day.
The answer is sitting right there in your apartment.
And the problem is sitting right there in your apartment also. It's. like mine, your attitude. Terrible, just like mine.
I think, like me, you've got a negative attitude and don't want to solve this.
Perhaps, maybe like me, we're our own worst enemies? Hello!
One thing that has helped me is, "One problem at a time, and be positive that you can solve that problem."
You say, "I just need something That I feel will save me from all of this ugh. Any input will help please . Thank you"
I think what can save you from all of this is you.
And as you say: 🙂
