Zoloft burning lips and tongue

Hey Guys anyone every experience burning lips and tongue while taking zoloft? I have never had this before and all of a sudden am noticing it. My lips burn and if I eat salty food its on fire. Thanks in advance

I have not experienced this myself...but have certainly heard of this s/e here among our members/posters.

I am sure like with most side effects, it will phase out with time. Keep checking for more responses from others who can relate. smile

I was on and off Zoloft for 8 years and started taking it again for the past two months and never experienced those side effects. But I know everyone reacts differently and if you just started on the Zoloft then hopefully the side effects will go away soon!

My lips burn when my anxiety is high. I am on Zoloft as well, but the lip burning for me started before I was on it. I try and tell myself that my lips are not really burning, it's just my mind making me think they are. Sometimes it works.
If yours started after the Zoloft then I would think it's probably just a side effect and should ease in time.

I was on Zoloft for 11 years and it's definitely one of the weird side effects, unfortunately.
Nothing to worry about, though!

Thanks for letting me know I was actually worried I bought some closys mouthwash from Walmart but never used it
