Zoloft and pregnancy

Well I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago. I have been taking 50mg of zoloft for almost 2 months now and man honestly this was the best I felt in years since I refused to take an SSRI. Well now am so anxious pregnant with my first child but had a miscarriage 2 years ago. My psychiatrist suggest I up the dose of zoloft to 75mg instead of 50mg. Do you all think now is a good time to do that being 5 weeks pregnant. Thanks in advance

First of all congratulations on your happy news! 😊

As far as your question...was your P-doc aware that you were pregnant when he/she suggeated the increase? If so, since psychiatrists are medical doctors, I think you can trust that this is safe for you and the baby...

...that being said, I think I would check with my OBGYN to be sure.

This would be a good time to makensure that your entire medical team are on the same page, to keep you well...body and mind during this time!.

Thanks for your quick response yes my ob/gyn said its ok to take zoloft
