So have not been on in a while.....having a rough few.weeks.....my health anxiety is very high....my daughter has had a few minor.nosebleeds over the past 5 weeks.....these only happen in the shower....i spoke to my dr....who.said she believes it is that her nose is dry and between allergies and allergy medicine ..this is common.....she suggested saline ...she uses it once a day and that's it.....last night she got a minor nosebleed in shower after 2 weeks of none....i spoke to the pediatrician this morning who also said it is dryness and I should not worry....he suggested saline 3 times a day and to stay on allergy meds...he said I could bring her in Tuesday, but he feels she is fine....my husband feels.I am. Making her crazy and should not bring her
..what do I do? ...i told the pediatrician I was afraid she had leukemia and he said he does not think that at all....then why can't I relax......feeling so uneasy

I'm with you. Everytime one of my kids gets sick or has a health issue I get triggered. Its hard to trust Dr.'s with anxiety sometimes. But we just have to have faith and remember they are Doctors/pediatricians for a reason.

Also, when I was younger I was definitely a nose bleeder. I get them from time to time now.

Health anxiety is my most prevailing worry... My son's health triggers it all the time. I feel your pain. Lots of hugs. Can you try the saline 3x a day for a week and see if it improves, then if she's still getting nosebleeds take her in for some blood work? Sometimes if I make a plan in my head it helps... Then when I start to overthink I remind myself of the plan. Hang in there...

Dry air from indoor cooling /heating systems can cause nb.

Trying saline will help.

I'm sure your kiddo will be just fine, even though I know it's incredibly scary! This time of year (dryness, summer approaching, lots of allergens) unfortunately trigger nosebleeds in perfectly healthy individuals. The nose is compiled of lots of little vessels that are prone to breaking with just the smallest effort (a sneeze, extreme dryness, even a nose pick) and will trigger a bleed which is totally benign. Definitely do the saline 3x, see if it helps, and if it doesn't, have the doctor make another recommendation. I was prone to NB's for a while, and putting some Aquafor or Vaseline in my nostrils seemed to help keep the area moisturized.

Thanks everyone.....just having a hard time....now my son who is 7 has 3 bruises on his arm....not sure where they came from....of course i callec dr and she said we do not worry about bruises on legs or arms or fingers, especially boys...but my nerves are shot....what is wrong with me??
