I can't remember if you see a therapist? If so, can you ask specifically for tips on how to cope with your fears while your family is away?
Two weeks is a pretty long span to have a friend stay over with you...but perhaps you could arrange for some of the time to be booked with 'sleep overs'...at either your house, or even theirs?
For now, using coping skills such as meditation, breathing and progressive muscle relaxation exercises and positive mantras will help...
...but for the future...I do encouage you to work specifically with a professional on your monophobia...so that in time you can be free of this issue.
