Anyone here ever take Ambien. Tonight will be my first time.

works like a champ. relatively gentle next day. only slight hangover -gone with first cup of coffie. for me it worked extremely fast-like in 5 mins. I waited till I was actually in bed and ready for sleep. by far the best of the prescription sleep aids . try not to use it for longer than a few weeks daily and its easy to stop. I preferred the cr version. the reg didn't keep me asleep for entire nite sometimes.

Only worked for 3hrs then had me wide awake unable to go back to sleep. Ugh

Yeah it's regular and what my psychiatrist prescribed. Does insurance usually cover the ambien cr?

yes- I would ask dr to switch you to the cr version. when I was in the hospital my dr there gave us ambiean regular. he said it was ok for us to ask for a second in the middile of the nite if one wasn't enough. so its ok to take it twice in one night. while I was in the hospital -the cr version came out and we were issused it every nite. worked so much better we never asked for a second pill.

When you had the regular version and woke up and took the second one, were you able to fall asleep quickly?
