Starting Paxil (paroxetine) I'm nervous

Usually they start at a low dose 5-10 mg or so and slowly increase as needed.
Everyone adjusts differently. Good to take in the evening, shortly before bed, around the same time daily,
And when you are home for the night. Yes, it makes you sleepy initially until your body gets used to the dose you and your doc want you to stay on. I’ve been on it for years. It has worked well. Over time,
I have slowly needed to increase my dose with my doc approval.

If you were having any trouble 😴 sleeping, this should help until your body gets used to it. If you stay on the same dose, you body will adjust within 1-2 months. ( everyone is different).

Been a week, not helping me sleep yet. But at least not feeling any adverse effects. Wondering when it will help with sleep.

I take it at night, purscribed for anxiety induced insomina.

Been supplementing supplementing with melatonin and falling asleep fast most days of the.week. But still end up getting 3-4 real hrs of sleep a night.

But last night was the first really bad time getting to sleep while on paxil. My heart was pounding and I just couldn't sleep. It was upsetting bc I was finally going to sleep fast (for a month bc melatonin), then last night was horrific.

Ive been on paxil for a week and last night was the only time it gave me a problem falling asleep. Maybe cpuld have been other things.

I just hope it helps increase my sleeping hrs in another week or so. I really hope.

Update: its been 3wks on paxil and I have improvment!!!!
I take it in the morning and it has been helping me sleep! I almost feel like my old self, I'm so happy and grateful. I feel a couple more weeks for it to build up and my sleep to build up, I'll be feeling even better!

It has been over half a year trying to find something that works and I finally have. ❤
