S29,
Morning anxiety is common and often due to Cortisol. This stress hormone makes is possible for us to get up and going in the a.m. Without it, we'd likely not get out of bed!
However, those of us with anxiety either produce an excess of it, or are just particularly sensitive to its effects...and can end up having rough mornings until the levels naturally drop throughout the day.
Try focusing on your coping mechanisms first thing when getting up to manage the anxiety and set a good tone for the day.
Peace and progress,
S.C.
