Hi all, I have been on an increased dosage of lexapro, 20 mg up from 15. I have been on it for 12 days and it seems my shakiness is getting worse. Today was horrible with shaking and anxiety. I have been in touch with my doctor, and she has recommended going back to 15 mg and to take klonopin as needed. I don't really like taking the klonopin , it works at the time, but then seems to make me depressed and irritable. Has anyone heard of these types of issues with lexapro increase?

Ho cashless. Yep it can happen with an increased level of lexapro. Wise go down, you may require to ride out lexapro a bit as it 💪 and the uptake is quicker. Maybe discuss the klonopin as more of a p.r.n or reduced dosage.

Maybe you could try a different benzo. There are many. Something that doesn't make you irritable. I take Xanax. It works well.

Cashless, I've never been on Lexapro before. But I sure can relate to you about the anxieties and the shakiness.

I used to be on psychiatric meds that made me very shaky, especially my hands.

Thanks all for the responses. The shakes and anxiety really stink. Friday night I only took 10 mg of lex, and my saltiness and anxiety were better. I was exhausted though from not sleeping well. Last night I took 15 mg, and shakes and anxiety are bad again. Anybody know how long it will take to get the higher dose of 20mg out of my system. I didn't have the shakiness and this bad anxiety at 15.
