I have done so well for so long, but I'm back. I hate that anxiety & panic disorder can 99% go away for months or even a year and then BOOM... right back at it. Started with tight muscles in my neck, tingling in my lip, I assume from the tight muscles and unintentional hyperventilation, and then comes my health anxiety b/c of that and then my panic. It's a domino effect... and it sucks.

I'm from that section of the country and was just curious.

Are you taking any medicine for that?

Hi Carolina_Girl,

I am sorry your anxiety is back. Grounding yourself is important. Breathing exercises and meditation help with that. We have the power within us, just need to be able to tap into it. Medication often helps.

I hope that you start to feel better soon. Let us know how you are doing. Do you see a therapist?

I haven't had anxiety issues in years. And during all of those years, I've never had the anxieties that I used to have before then all of a sudden come back.

Unfortunately, you haven't been as fortunate, Carolina Girl. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

No. I've tried medications and they all either made me sick or make me feel horrible, so I just use CBD and meditation.

It’s good that you tried medicine. It’s good that you have tried CBT (positive thinking) and meditation. Now, I want you to contemplate your naval.

No, I’m off track here. We don’t do that in the Carolinas, trust me. That’s west of the Appalachians. OK.

Alright. What I have heard that helped one person here is 40-60mg of Prozac (anti depressant) a day and Buspar (anti-anxiety, 5 mg. and then10 mg. a day).

That combination.

You said you tried some medications and that they made you sick. Well, which ones have you tried?

Hello Carolina girl.
I’m all too familiar with your current situation. It does suck. And it’s hell going through it over and over. But just remember you’ve been through this before, and it passed. This too shall pass!! In the meantime remind yourself that anxiety is just an emotion. Nothing more. I suggest journaling. Write about your day, your goals, positive affirmations, reroute your thinking and keep yourself grounded. THIS WILL PASS!!
I myself am going through a bit of a uneasy night. But I always tell myself, “if you can make it through the night there’s a brighter day”...
if you don’t mind me asking, what is your “anxiety type”? We all suffer from different forms. I myself have health anxiety. And Any type of negative or emotional distress causes me to just go to full anxiety mode, which of course leads to a cocktail of anxiety.
