tried cannabis and left me in a bad state

We aren't medical professionals on this Forum, but I don't believe you taking cannabis a year ago has effected your heart - as I'm sure you discussed with your doctors. Your cardiologist has given you a clean bill of health, so I wouldn't stress over it. Per the Cleveland Clinic, a normal resting heart rate is between 60 - 100 bpm, so you are right within the normal range. You probably don't realize how much you are thinking about it, as it's evident to me from your post. To say that you don't know how much longer you can go on like this is not helping your situation. My suggestion would be to seek a second opinion from another cardiologist, for some peace of mind.

Unfortunately, the Boards are very slow and you may not receive any responses. You could talk to a therapist, and not take medication - there's no harm in that. Try to be more open minded in your thinking, and not dwell on whether or not the cannabis was the cause of your issues - that happened a year ago, and you can't change anything at this point.

I used to take a health food sleep aid called Tryptophan and it really helped. Then they found something wrong with it and had to stop selling it.

The only thing they had left at this health food store was liquid Tryptophan.

I bought a bottle. I found the liquid wasn't as each to control as the pill type. Maybe it was, if the liquid didn't put me to sleep quickly enough, I could take another teaspoon.

I don't remember what happened, but I didn't like the liquid type because I couldn't control the amount I was taking as well as the pill form.

So I have an idea of what you're talking about, taking medicine in liquid form.

A heating pad helps me with chest discomfort, better with the insert or a small towel moistened and squeezed out, for moist heat. The heat enlarges the blood vessels and the heart doesn't have to work as much.
I also use a heating pad for sleep, except it can dry me out, even on low, and I can have nightmares. What I do now is cut it on low (for sleep), but only for a minute, then I cut it off but leave it on my chest for psychological benefit.

I try Melatonin if I can't sleep. I take about 3, 1 mg. pills an hour before bedtime. When I get groggy, I take 1 mg. more at bedtime, then if I wakeup at 4 a.m. and can't go back to sleep, I can take 1 more mg.

You say, "I've always had anxiety." And "I refuse to see a psychiatrist. They'll just put me on one of their drugs. I've been on them long ago and it caused me more harm than good. Took me a long time to recover from their meds long ago."

I've found myself in situations where, through foul-ups, I was very concerned (yeah, panic) about going back on medicine. What I didn't realize was, I could have started back on 1 medicine, at a very low dosage. If it did not kill me, I could increase it slightly. I looked at it as if was all or nothing.

I would try to stay positive about this, also. What is it, count your blessings? This is not the only part of your life. Being positive has really helped me, and being negative really hurt.

Hello 👋🏼 honestly I think you are unaware of how much you are subconsciously “blaming “ Or “pinpointing” this cardiac issue on the use of the cbd. You say you have accepted it, it was your one and only time using the cbd, but the cardiac events haven’t stopped since the use. Honestly see your cardiologist again for a peace of mind. Do you have a therapist? Therapy can be amazing, even without the use of anti anxiety medications. If you’re constantly aware Or hyper vigilant of your heartbeat, this can cause a higher heart rate subconsciously. Especially if you say things like waiting to “drop dead”. I’m not here to contradict you, just trying to spread some light on what you may be unaware of. Hope all is well!!

Please try not to smoke cigarettes. I know it seems like it helps but cigarettes are actually a stimulant. They calm you for the moment but continuing to smoke will hurt your heart in the long run in time. I smoked over 45 years and I am paying for it now with poor circulation bad lungs and not a strong heart. I probably sound like a broken record. I can imagine other people have warned you of the dangers of smoking tobacco. There are supposedly 2000 different chemicals in a cigarette and only one is nicotine. Please try not to smoke, don't end up like me.

look at my main post I had the same exact thing happen to me and I have the same exact symptoms as you. When i had my bad episode it felt like a heart attack as well, chest pain (worst in my life, rapid heart rate, pain in my arms, anxiety and doom). from that day on I still have a rapid heart rate like you. When i lay down flat on my back its normal 60-80bpm, but when i stand it goes to 120bpm. i cant exercise or anything that palpitations and fatigue is too much. I feel just like you too, one foot in the grave us what I tell myself, life is no longer enjoyable for me. Im a 20 year old male this cant be normal but the doctors just shrug their shoulders and wanna shove pills down my throat. my episode was in august of 2020 ive been like this for a year too. Im even willing to give you my phone # if you wanna try and brainstorm this together. ive read about other people sharing similar experiences online and its scary how 0 doctors know about this.
