OMG!!!! I'm going bonkers!!! What is with health insurance?!?!?!?!

I have been trying for almost 5 days now to get in to see a phychiatrist to be re-evaluated and put on some meds for this bipolar thing. OMH!!! There are no providers in my area. No one is accepting new patients, no one will accept my insurance. All the neames that the insurance company has are outdated because these STUPID doctors are not communicating with them. AHRRGGG! I'm so frustrated that I can barely type this. I'm making so many errors that I have to delete and retype. I just talked to a lady from my insurance and she is going to try and get me an appt. Pray for me. I'm starting to flip out. I'm starting to get anxious. I'm starting to panic. Please pray for me, send me some luck and some hugs. I need things to work out now. Thanks for the support you guys!

Big Big Hugs honey. I'm so sorry you are getting the run around by these people. If you have found a dr that is taking ne patients you need to call and see if he will join your insurance network. I had to do that with anouther dr I have. Best of luck hun and don't give up the fight.

Sorry I cannot help you on this one I am in Ontario Canada and we have Ontario health Insurance Program here which virtually covers just about everything
I am so sorry you are dealing with this
I am totally amazed at some of the cost for scopes ( crohns) doctor visits ect ..........
I hope things do turn around for you really soon

This is truly rotten for you!! I really hope the woman from the indurance company fixes this for you fast. My instinct is that she will: she is in a good position to argue the whys and wherefores with the doc -- and remember that it looks very bad for her company if she *doesn't* do this. So I would trust in this at present and find ways to help yourself keep as calm as you can (I know, easier said than done, eh?!). As I say, though, it's part of her job to keep clients happy, so I do think she will find a way!

hiya chelle, im so sorry, its hard to get a doc where i am too, between fighting with insurance and fighting docs that dont want new patients, its a pain. Hang in there, you will get an appt soon, god bless and keep ya head up ;)

I had the same problem, 3 month wait to see some is ridiculous and the insurance hoops were a nightmare, arrgh. This condition should be given more priority than it is.
