Sorry to hear you have PCOS but do not be concerned many women with PCOS do manage to get pregnant (Victoria Beckham is a well known case). I think it likely that you have had a period because one of your eggs ovulated properly and got through so causing you to have a period. This does not mean that your hormones are necessarily right again (although they could be) but it does give you a great chance of getting pregnant. I am not a doctor but know a little about PCOS, sometimes going on the oral contraceptive pill can help your system by damping it down, then when you come off it kick starts your system and may help you get pregnant. The ultrasound will show more information.

Good luck with your scan, make sure you ask the doctors what treatments you can have to help you get pregnant.

Hi there, I was diagnosed with PCOS a few month back . I went through a few times where I didn't have a period for 2 months at a time, then it eventually went to 4 or more. I was put back on my birth control pills by my doctor and given an ultrasound. She also gave me a round of progesterone to jump start the period. It did work, and since being on the pills I have been regulated. She told me that I needed to lose weight, and when I decided to start trying to have a baby that once I went off the birthcontrol, many women get pregnant within a few months, otherwise there are many other options. As for my hormones, the funny thing is, they have always been normal. Also the doc said that only one of my ovaries were polycystic, which she said she had never seen before. Anyhow, there are a million different alternatives for you to get pregnant, just talk to your doc, also don't give up because I know it is frustrating, but it will get better.
