Question about how to take ativan

Hi everyone How are you all doing?

I have a question about ativan. I take it as needed for high anxiety days but was wondering if ativan, like xanax, can be dissolved under the tongue to work a bit faster? There are times when my anxiety really appears at the worst possible times, like while I am driving and stuff like that and it would be a huge help if the ativan could kick in a bit faster...Thanks for your help!!

I don't think you should try putting Ativan under your tongue.  Why not ask your doctor or pharmacist?  They would know how this might affect you.

yes its ok to put it under your tounge it wont hurt you.... im not a doctor but i know it is fine.... but i just let mine dissolve on top of my tounge as i dont want it lingering around under my tounge but yes it will kick in alot faster if you let it dissolve .......

Mostly the sublingual ativan are the ones that go under the tongue kinda like a nitro pill and goes immediately into bloodstream ...
I use both and I still let both disolve on or under tongue
Regular ones still take a wee bit longer than sublingual ones from my experience
