Oh. I had viral meningitis when I was sixteen and it was pretty easy for me to get over. The only symptom I can remember having was my neck wouldn't turn without a whole lot of pain shooting through my head. It was weird. Within a week it was gone completely, though. Maybe it was a mild strain or the disease is just a lot harder on adults...
I did find this on the interweb net:
That site is pretty good. There's a section that you can pay to ask a doctor something like that guy did, but there's also a "patient to patient" section. I bet if you asked over there some people will have been what you're going through.
Good luck!
edit: I'm bored at work today and am just surfing around wasting time. I noticed that the above mentioned "medhelp" site has a doctor patrolled forum called "Disaster Preparedness". It's free to post in that one, and people ask questions in there that aren't related to disasters at all. He answers anyway, it appears. And his Curriculum Vitae is pretty impressive (Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford U. Med Center...graduated from Brown medical school). I know talking to him wouldn't be the same as hearing from people who have recovered from meningitis, but he may know a thing or two about
what's normal for the process.
** Debaser I had to edit that link as it is another Forum such as HW not with all the DD but still a ppl forum you can put your email addy in the side under you name and have ppl get it from you that way just have them email okay
Sorry you never break rules and I knew I had to edit this one .............**
