for those who are having panic attacks, it helps a lot to always carry a few valium type tablets with you when out, some keep them in a small container, panic attacks are of course unpredictable and fear of the next one can be quite disabling and limit your activities
if a panic attack starts, place 1 under the tongue and let it disolve there, this is called sublingually, and is the fastest way to get the med into your system, much faster than swallowing it
type 'sublingually' into a search engine and read up all about it
sadly some docs and psychs never think to mention this to panic attack sufferers. klonapin wafers are actually designed for this, they say to disolve on the tongue, I prefer under the tongue, these arent available everywhere
this treatment works like magic, these meds are first choice when someone with a panic attack is taken to hospital, (sometimes by ambulance if its the first one)
a very severe panic attack is treated with an injection of valium
if a difficult event is being faced, you can take an insurance dose by swallowing a benzo earlier, but a second sublingual dose will help much more if a panic attack strikes
you can say its for a migrane, or mutter something about an allergy if anyone asks
