i have been having severe anxiety and am back on my zoloft. Since this started I have been having weird feelings in my head like a pulling sensation. it moves around my head and is not in one spot. more painful sometimes than other times. weird pins and needles in face every so often. very tired. im scared of an aneurysm. has anyone had similiar symptoms like this with anxiety or zoloft? thanks

thanks but it doesnt feel like zaps - it feels like pressure - someone pushing down on my head or pulling my hair. my ears also hurt.

Hi Keli

It may just be side effects from the Zoloft, but if you've taken it before without these side effects you would have to think probably not.

I have fibromyalgia, and I do get pain in my head like pressure, more on my face than my head, and I also get a very sore ear, as if I had an ear infection, but the doc checks it for me regularly and my ear is fine.  Just another fibro symptom.

I don't want to suggest it might be fibro, but just something to keep in the back of your mind.  If you are really concerned give your doc a call, better to be safe than sorry eh?

Hopefully it's just side effects that will settle quickly.

I cant recall what side effects i had before when starting zoloft since im not sure what was side effects and what was anxiety.

I wish I could help you directly, but I can only advise you to do what it says in the literature that comes with your Zoloft: "When these side effects persist or become bothersome, contact your physician".

debaser is absolutely right, please contact your physician and if you cannot get through, call an ER or a medline, whatever is available to you.
Take care of you...........IMO make the call now.

Keli..this happens to me ALL THE TIME. its MOST LIKELY not anything but your anxiety. Keep in mind that anxiety causes ALL KINDS of weird feelings and pains. And the more you are freaking out about the more its going to happen. Go to the doc or the ER so they can tell you its nothing and you can have some relief. But until you get there just rest assured this DOES happen to other people. I go through it a lot. You're gonna be alright hun.

actually i can say that i have the same feelings feels like your skin is crawling with bugs or someone that feeling when u put your hand on the electric ball and it makes your hair stand up my whole body gets that way sometimes it drives me crazy too cause sometimes it hurts to touch my skin mut my head is always in a kinda numb tingly prickly state and face also mostly in my cheeks and around my eyes

ive gone to 3 drs and to the er. all say my neuro signs are good and they do not think its an aneurysm. all think its tension and anxiety. i just want the feelings to go away. if my headache goes away then i think my anxiety would. im scared cause im pregnant and im afraid this is going to cause me to lose the baby. have any of you had tension headaches? what did they feel like for you?
