I'm just wondering how far spread out everyone is and wondering if there is anyone from Canada on this site?

Harry, winter is 24 inches of snow, not rain lol.
I am from Minnesota...............I have a snowplow and a snowblower and a hubby to operate them.........

Texas. There's no winter here, especially now. Although it hasn't been hot recently and that's very unusual. It has something to do with the constant rain, which is also very unusual.

edit: Literally seconds after I made that post, driving rain storm. I live on the sixth floor but I think I might build an ark on the roof.

Debaser- I used to live in texas and yes there is no winter there. We wore shorts and flip flops at christmas.

To all the unfortunate ones that do not live in TEXAS, I am truley moved. The fact is, we have it ALL. But not too much of anything bad. Am I correct debaser??? :-)

I'm in Missouri. about two and half hours west of St. Louis. Now we get it all. Hot, cold drought, floods, and everything in between. Just never know here. Kinda like that about it here. Anyway now ya know.

Well, too much rain right now. The Trinity River looks like the Mississippi. And I'd say the summer is way too hot and way too humid and way too long. But other than that, it's great!

And we have all kinds of geography and weather here, too; it's just all spread out: Mountains and desert in the far west, arid plains in the panhandle, somewhat rugged hill country in the middle, lots of blackland prairie, huge forests in the east, bayou in the southeast, and of course the coastal plains along the Gulf. In the west and northwest of Texas they get a pretty decent winter. North Texas (D/FW and surrounding region) doesn't get a lot, but some. That's usually it. It rains a lot in the valley and along the coast but it's fairly dry just about everywhere else, especially in the summer. Most of our rain comes in the non-Summer (There are two seasons in most of Texas: Summer and Non-summer).

I'm from Minnesota too Kit!  Unfortunately, I only have a shovel for that 24" of snow...I do have a hubby who would use said shovel, but since I hate the way the tires smash the snow onto the driveway and make it impossible to get off, I always shovel before he comes home...can you say obsession?

I also live in the Atlanta area...lucky enough to no longer have to deal with the commute into the city, though.  My kids don't have a pool, but they cool off and bring me many creatures from a creek that runs through  my back yard!  We have a "catch and release" agreement. :-)

I am probably going to be moving to North Carolina next year. Once my life gets a bit better, of course. My boyfriends Dad lives there, and my boyfriend would like to live closer to his Dad. They so rarely see eachother! And, growing up, my bf lived with his Mom in Ohio, and his Dad lived in NC. So, I think we are going to make that move next summer!!!! You will be in Colorado by then though bluemeanies!!!

I think I mentioned I'm from Canada but not my city, not that it matters cause in the winter we get SNOW everywhere in Canada. I'm from Toronto. My husband owns a snow removal company BUT I get stuck cleaning the snow sometimes because he works around the clock.
Now it's beautiful weather here!!!

  I'm from Alaska, but it's kind of a love/hate thing here.

Summers are great here lots of daylight and some great fishing and hunting but the winters are way too loooooooog, cold and dark
