my personal effexor warning

I have been on effexor since memorial day .  I spent 3 years sitting in my house afraid to go anywhere and all I want to do now is go out!   

 

And I have had no negative side effects, I have had vivid dreams like I have had with Paxil and Zoloft but I don’t consider that a negative.  And I am in the best shape since I was 18, so no weight gain issue here!

if you can find an antidepressant that works for you, and this can take a long search, it will give you a new life and work better than any other meds

keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to antidepressants

Congratulations. Don't forget to take advantage of this reprieve and work on how you think about life and all that stuff in general! It's a war to be fought on multiple fronts.

So its still going great. For the first time in a long, long time I have a real social life. I have made about 8 new friends and am meeting two different girls out this week. LOL It’s not like a hookup thing, but its really cool I feel good being out and people seem to like hanging out with me. It’s like this whole world I have been missing out on.

And the fitness continues. I was 5'9" and 167 before talking effexor. Not I'm 154lbs!! And I’m in really good shape because I lift weight and run every day and enjoy doing it! I feel better than I have in a long time. Of course that just adds to my confidence because I feel good about the shape I'm in and the way I look. Again I don’t want this to sound arrogant but I think a lot of you that have suffered from anxiety and then gotten your life back know how good it feels.

I hope everyone that has anxiety finds a drug or treatment plan that works for them as well as effexor is working for me.

Hey Drew, great news with your new-found-self! yeah I too, am on Effexor and it has worked well for me too...altho, I don't think quite as well as it has for you. I am not complaining one bit tho. I am finally getting out again after being secluded for what seems like a long time. I enjoy seeing my friends whom I've missed etc...but always happy to get back to the comfort of home. I still deal with the anxiety of leaving the house - but on a much lesser level now. Once I'm out, I do just fine. This is huge accomplishment!!! So my friend, I soooooooooo understand where you are coming from.
