Hi

Out of hospital went with the doctors drugs groups but was forced to take valium.  No one knows but i could not take the panic attachs.  This my sixth hospital visit will still no sucess.  Each time had to take some valium which i too for 30 years this time sneak it when servere attachs occour.

Has anybody else found they could not shake the valium and have some suggestions for another drug.  I dont like doing this but nothing is controlling the anxiety.

Good Morning!  I am glad your out of the hospital. As for the Valium, why should you have to sneak it if you need to take a prescribed amount.  I am weaning off Valium but I will be requesting to be on something as I am down to 6 mg per day now and I have used a benzo for 25 years.  Now they decide it is not good for me.  eyes  

I have cooperated but I am feeling the effects of not having a morning dose as I kick into anxiety very easy in the morning so I am taking 2 mg in the morning and 4 mg at bedtime.

I think you should be allowed to use it as needed.  However I also feel you need to retalk this with your Pdoc.

They froeced me off Valium.
They took me from 30mg for 30 years to 6 mg but the the panic attacks were bad. I sneak it because family and doctors wont give. Going from 30 mg to 6mg didnt work and their goal is zerol I hear ya but something not working they gave me depression stuff that helps panic and Buspirone HCL 10mg plus groug individual but attachs worse. Thanks for your help. Keep you posted.

I understand how you feel. eyes

There is absolutely no doubt that anyone withdrawing from long-term benzodiazepines (Valium) must reduce the dosage slowly.

The decision to withdraw is also the patient's decision and should not be forced by the doctor.

The rate of tapering should never be rigid but should be flexible and controlled by the patient, not the doctor, according to the patient's individual needs which are different in every case.

I hear ya with the Valium what are they thinking ...........

I take both ativan and Valium PRN.......

I have moved love so I have new email addy but still have you on yahoo
been a rough time for you I see and I am so sorry ........I wish I could come snatch you away from there and let you know that you are truly cared about my friend

My new email is [email protected]. I am sneeking the valium thriough a doctor and taking it with their crap. No body knows but i have not felt this good.
I am lookingvg to keep the supply running through Canada and England where its perscribed more.

I can only imagine what you are going thru I wish i knew what to say,Your daughter asked if she could talk but my email changed tell her yes. I feel you are so special and when I lost my e mails i never thought we would talk. I am so glas to hear from you. If you can hit back on Yahoo or feel free to call.

I am soooooo happy that your feeling better and I am sure you will be hearing from Lyn................she is one super lady.  One of the best I have ever met and so brave and tough and just such a sweetie.
