I have heard of EVT, or read about it some. I believe it has to do with the 'client' releasing the deep inner emotions that are the root of there problems. Over time the person expresses there deep emotions and can return to emotional stability. I am not totally sure, but I believe it has something to do with that. I guess it would be like getting to the inner most core of whats causing the problem. After working through it I guess it is supposed to make the problem (anxiety, stress, etc) go away. Again, I am not 100% positive.
Ok, I looked all of this up because it is all very interesting, I think I found out what Tapping is:
"EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) balances the energy system with a tapping procedure which stimulates designated meridian endpoints on the face and body. Restoring the balance of the energy system neutralizes emotional conflicts at their source, which then allows the body and mind to resume their natural healing abilities."
Basically what it says is that the body is an energy source mad eup of positive and negative charges. When using tapping the person selects a problem they want to work on, then rate there discomfort of a scale of 0-10. Then, the person taps the Karate Chop (outside of the hand along pinky finger) and repeats the problem and there acceptance 3 times. Then, come up with a short reminder phrase. Repeat the phrase while tapping given stress points of the face and body. Then, you rate it again. And it basically repeats itself. I would be glad to state the site I got this info from if anyone wants to check it out. I may even try it myself. I am always up for new things. And besides if I do decide to study alternative medicine it will be good practice!
