Anyone ever ger random red bumps due to anxiety or stress?  For the past couple of weeks I've been getting these red bumps mainly on my torso sides and slighty to the pelvic area.  I get a few here and there on my arms too.  They aren't clusters of bumps either.  It's like one here and one there, like pimples almost.  This morning they were all over the right side of my torso and some of them have now faded and some new ones have appeared on the left side.  They don't stick around long but I can't figure out what is causing them. 

I've also been having some throat issues lately.  Very dry and almost swollen or numb feeling.  No trouble breathing really.  I have had a lot of anxiety lately.  So I'm guessing it's the cause of these things.  But I think I'm having some kind of allergic reaction to something, but I can't figure out what it is. 

Any ideas?

It sounds like some sort of reaction to something. Did you start using a different detergent or add anything new to your diet or medication in the past few weeks? Anxiety can make the reaction to an allergy worse, i think. Seems logical, but I'm not sure about those bumps being cause by anxiety.

I just talk to my mom, cause she gets hives and has anxiety / panic. She says, that if it hives they're really itchy. She also said that she doesnt know why she gets them, that it doesnt seem to be anxiety related for her... Anyways, she has some cream or whatever for it and says it happens outta the blue for her...

Hi, this is Kitt.  If this is a new reaction for you I would recommend seeing your medical doctor to see if it is a drug reaction.  You did not mention what your meds are so I could not guess what might be causing the rash.

If it is a drug reaction, with each dose you may break out more and eventually develop anaphylaxis ( hypersentivity to foreign proteins or drugs) resulting from sensitization following rpior contact with the causative agent.

Anxiety may cause a rash too, but I would rule out the medications first to be on the safe side.

The only meds I am on is Prevacid once a day and a birth control pill. That's all I take. I've been on the Prevacid for a total of probably 5 months now with maybe a one month break.

What's funny is that I've been trying to find the culprit if it is an allergy in my house. I vacuumed my couch (taking it apart piece by piece) and then I lifted up my mattress to check to see if there was anything unusual there. Now I've got these bumps in the palms of my hands and on the heels of my feet (not sure where the feet bumps came from). So... don't know.

I had that happen to me a few times. I was told it was probably something transient, like soap, etc.

As far as the throat, that is definitely a symptom of anxiety.

Well, most of the red bumps are gone today, so I'm guessing it is something in my house that I'm allergic to. I'll have to have my hubby wash a few things for me this weekend.
