I only waited 2 MONTHS to get in and see him. He was a lot nicer than the 1st guy I saw. Anyway----because of my family's history with Colon Cancer and Polyps---and some symptoms of "irritable bowel stuff" I have scheduled a colonoscopy for myself. Because of the pain I have been feeling in my sternum/mid back and chest. He will also do an endoscopy to rule anything out. Then, we go from there! In the meantime---I get to take some anti-spasmotic drug to try and help with the pains I am feeling after I eat, all day. He's not sure that will help----but, it could.
(if you have been on this board lately---you would have read about my trials/tribulations with my GI problems and also my "fun" with GI specialist #1 "it's all in your head"----trying to find someone who would see me).
I feel OK with the whole thing-----but, I still don't feel GREAT physically (the pain, etc...). But hey! It's a start right? I was very anxious this morning about the whole thing---but, kept telling myself on the way up there that I am my own ADVOCATE for my health (thanks Kitt and Lyn for your encouragement the other day)---and that no one can do this for me---so, get some 'guts' (no pun intended) and go there---for yourself!
Now---I only have ~2 weeks until these procedures.
