I'm now on Klonopin and Effexor, .5 and 300 a day.

I'm diagnosed with Major Depression and Social Phobia

I don't think the medicine is working the right way.  I still get sad and depressed.  The only thing I've noticed is, I feel like I have no feelings.... for example, a friends mother passed away yesterday and I couldn't cry, I didn't feel the need to cry or be upset, I felt more inconvenienced if that makes any sense.

I've been on several different meds in my depression career :-)   like Lexapro, Remeron, Seroquel, and Paxil but I don't know what each of these meds do. At one point in time I was taking all of them including the Klonopin everyday.

What meds have you noticed work best for your diagnoses?

I am assuming they were all RX by a doc or Pdoc ........

Why you would be on these meds boggles my mind especially when you stated at one point that you were taking ALL at same time

I would think that some would have just cancelled out the effects of the others ...........

IN my honest opinon I would think this would be dangerous ..........but thats my opinion.......
I find it hard to wrap my mind around you taking all these MEDS at one time it seems so ...........so / redundant and useless to be blunt

I take ativan or valium ONLY when needed and have had to take them for over 30 yrs daily .......

As I said I now only take when Absolutely needed ........VERY rarely

They just calm me down .........

Makes sense why you would have no feelings ..........at times ......IF you were taking all these meds ..........LYN

To be honest Lyn, I don't remember how long I was on them like that but it was for a short period.

She had me take Remeron b/c I wasn't eating and this helped me regain my appetite x10.

Lexepro for depression.

Klonopin to stop the crazy thoughts keeping me up at night

Seroquel to help me sleep and for some other reason that I can't remember.

I think I started out on Paxil and moved to Effexor.

I know I was taking at least 8 pills a day...puke

Thats alot of meds my friend and yes they will play havoc with your emotions at times ........
