MEDS CAUSING ALOT OF TALKING!!

Hello everyone! I have a stupid question but first i want to take the time to share with you guys how things have been going in my life.As some of you know i started a new job a few days ago and i think i like it.The people i work with are nice and the place stays busy so it makes it appear as if time goes by fast.I'm still trying to get use to it but so far so good!I also started on celexa almost a week ago and it seems to be very effective.Not many side effects just noticed i feel a little funny is all.Not bad but weird? Does anyone know where i'm coming from with that? My appetite has decreased some, which is a good thing because i need to lose weight!(lol) Also i noticed i havent been really feeling anxious like i usually do on my past jobs,maybe thats the meds working!Anyway enough about me back to the question.I was talking to someone else about this on a previous thread,but does anyone noticed that their anti-anxiety meds make them talk alot.I mean even the benzos! I've noticed especially since taking xanax,I CAN NOT SHUT UP!!! Am i alone on this guys?Please offer me some feedback! I mean it's not causing any problems as far as i know but alot of my friends and relatives notice it and of course my husband.I dont think it bothers them,at least they haven't told me it does.But they have mentioned it!Please Let Me Know Am I The Only One With The Mouth Problem!!!!!(lol)

 

i think its your able to be out and talk to more people, i know i am stuck at home in the middle of no where, and when people come over i am like a anxious child wanting to be talked to , i spend most of my day talking to cats and my kids, no mind stimulation from talking to adults, so thats why i think your just happy to able to be around other people,

I also answered on the other thread but will answere here as well :) I was talking away the first week on Lex, like I had just drank a pot of coffee! It was funny b/c I was ware of it. I was thinking...as I was jabbering "Boy this Lexapro is making you talk a mile a min!" SSRI's can inheirantly be very stimulating. Hope I did not say anything stupid in my week of jibbering ;) But short answer yes, I was at first very talkative. Not on Benzos though, they make me not talk much...just sleepy

I was just wondering about your talkativeness.  The desired result of your treatment is an increased sense of well-being.  Like the other person said, you might just be feeling that good!!     I remember after I was given Adderral for severe fatigue, (almost narcoleptic) I was elated almost.  I had so much energy and I could focus.  No more brain fog!  I actually aprticipated in the conversations with our friends when we got together in the evenings for drinks.  Normally by that time, I was almost catatonic (in a stupor) I was soooo tired.  They must have thought I started doing drugs!  (actually, I did).    There is also some anorexia (lack of appetite) with that med.  But, how can that be bad?? 

Funny you say that you think you are babbling.....I have noticed your recent posts don't even have spacing after puctuation, like you can't get the words through your fingers fast enough! You are too funny Panike! Glad to see you are so much happier tho.

I think it is a good thing that you are feeling up and have energy. I would only be concerned if you find yourself going into a mania-type state, like running around cleaning or starting an activity and not finishing it because you've moved on to something else, starting a bunch of projects but not finishing any....then maybe your dose is too high....but having more energy than before and wanting to talk, nah...you have always answered a lot of posts and always had some good info to share! I didn't mean to point out your typing skills in a bad way, I actually found myself laughing because you confirmed what I had been thinking, "wow, she's happier and more talkative" then the next post I read you said you had been babbling.....I guess I was just picturing a woman whose boyfriend/husband is trying to sneak out without being seen because they don't like to talk.... anyway, it was meant in love, hun, you just crack me up is all!
