i am being weaned off off ativan and my psychiatrist has me using klonopin to help take the edge off from the withdrawels it will be only around 2 maybe 3 weeks i will be on klonopin will i be able to stop this med? ativan is causing me to be weak in my arms and legs is this a withdrawels coming off of ativan?

Hi Bulldog, I'm not sure if that's a withdrawal symptom or not. When I went off Ativan a few months ago, I didn't experience any withdrawals. I would definitely call you doc to see what he has to say about it. Please let us know what you find out, I am curious to see what he thinks. Take care, Wen

Hey Bulldog-

I remember that I didnt have a script for ativan for a few days when I ran out... couldnt see the DR in enough time. Anyways, yes i felt very weak, head was extrememly foggy, stomach hurt, the chills and then i would be hot...

What dose are you coming off of on the ativan and what dose are you on for the klonipin? Is the klonopin working to take the edge off?

I have had some effects but not as severe as you seem to have at all my friend
I would suggesst you talk to doc if it persists

DUH .....I wasnt thinking at all could it be that you are taking 2 different benzo's ...??
