NOW I might break at some point but thats cuz my doc is so bleeding caring and empathetic
Or like yesterday when I screamed when draining HOLE and he said what I gave you enough pain meds to knock out a horse lol
I said to fudge ya did and then realized I just was not a Lady .......yesterday ...he just roared but the pain was there believe me

Lyn,  good for you for cussing like a sailor, bet your Doc did get a chuckle.  Tell him it takes more than a dose of anything that would knock a horse out to keep a good woman down. devil

Wen, You are so special and you write such wise and comforting words to all.......................you need the chips for your card games so collect your huge portion.

Now I am here in line to collect chips today.................yesterday I had 5 biopsies done for possible skin cancer.  I had two areas that were suspicious for Squamous Cell Carcinoma and 3 site that were suspicious for Basal Cell Carcinoma.  Both kinds have a 95 % cure rate.

I did not freak out at the word Cancer as I knew it was a matter of time before one of the many lesions that I get and have had removed over the years would probably be a Cancer.  My hubby is calling me Spot for the areas that underwent cryosurgery yesterday and for the 5 "spot" bandaids I must wear for the next 10 days to keep biopsied areas covered.

One is on my face, but hey, this lady has make up to cover scars so we will face that if it happens.

Now if you please, I would like red chips............... tongue

Kitt,   Thank you for all that you have said,  you also always seem to know what to say and when to say it.  You have a gift for it.   I am very proud of you for not freaking out at the word "cancer".  I know I would be (but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to that stuff - lol).  You are one brave woman and you deserve a whole lot of of red chips and they are coming your way.  Why red, by the way?  Just curious.   We love ya Kitt, Wen

Well, this subject alone will give me plenty of reading material for a while. My baby step (literally in the case of bilater foot surgery) is that I moved back home today. I posted early on in this thread but it has grown by leaps and bounds and I will have to do a lot of catching up tomorrow.

I'm rolling on the floor (quietly because I'm at work no shhh) in spirit as`well. Lyn, I wish I didn't live in Oz right now (it's cold), it would be so lovely to talk to you...perhaps one of these days I wil get myself on a plane (yeah - right!!!!) more likely a phone..hope the pain is easing my lovely.

Hey there...........I saw my Pdoc today and I did not get fired by her, although I think I was close................ so I want some red chips.....maybe just a few because I do understand she is the Dr. but I would like it better if she did more then control the meds.
I may need to take a Monopoly "Get Out of Jail Free" card to my next appointment as she was not laughing at my smart - butt remarks. I forgot I was playing to the audience from the land of no sense of humor.
Just because you have a mental health dx they don't know we can still laugh and be silly.......................lordy lordy. I think the lady needs to loosen the rubber binder on her pony tail.

I think for my first surgery I will perform a lobotomy on my dear Dr.

Everyone join in and tell us the baby steps you have made or giant steps.

Now We all know Meg did great on her finals...............so I think she should get a whole bunch of red poker chips to keep her going for awhile............it is red for you dear Meg.

I would like to share that I have had 5 areas of skin cancer removed on 6/9 and 6/11 so I would like a few chips please.  Potatoe chips sound good but ok, I will settle for poker chips. Red ones  cool

 

Now you all better be wearing sun screen when your out in the sun as I am living proof what damage the sun can do.

You deserve tons of red poker chips but I prefer to grant your wish of red potato chips. Sending you several bags of red (well, kinda reddish orange) BBQ chips.
P.S. I'm walking barefoot inside my apartment (don't tell the doctor as I'm not supposed to). It feels so good to be out of my cast for even just a short while.
All joking aside, I'm glad you are past your surgeries and I am past mine and Lyn is back and Wen is back. Everyone on the mend is a great thing. I'd say there have been many huge steps conquered in the past month here (instead of baby steps).

I wonder if I would get a piece of a chip if i manage to get out of bed and into the bath that is waiting, and brush my teeth and put on clothes and walk to the corner store for a pack of cigarettes? after kitt's post about skin cancer, i wonder if i would have to instead lose a chip.
but then again, it would be good for me to be clean and not stinky, and i have slept all day and have only left my room once, so it would be good to go outside for 10 minutes.

and maybe now is not the time to quit smoking, so maybe getting smokes means i am taking care of myself.

itsokay, you do it girlfriend and we will send you red and black poker chips. There is no way to lose in this game if you just do something positive for you. We have potatoe chips, corn chips, nacho chips but miy chips, and chocolate chips and then we have traditional chips in red and black called poker chips.
Ocean, you sneaky one, I know whenever I take off dressings I want to soak in tub but showers only until completely healed. (((Huggles)))) to your feetsies.
I too am glad everyone is starting to return to normal but for me normal is scary.................Boo.

itsokay...you get a tonne load of chips for just getting out of bed. Sometimes that's the biggest battle, showers? Pah! lets go au natural (it's good for the environment yeah!). You just put one foot in front of the other to take care of yourself now.
Kitt, we will get that tub prepared for you, I have fresh violet bath bombs to share..yummy!

Did not take bath, did walk to store! Took bath today and went to the DMV so I can drive my vehicle again! But... also did some backwards behavior. Oh well. But, I'll take them chips!

Ah Megs, yes a nice soak in a tub would feel so good but it will happen.
Today and tomorrow I have a couple of big challenges...........so get a boxcar ready with chips you chippies.

Special silver and gold chips to our Lyn who is in need of some chips for dealing with her home issues...................she deserves a crown made of gold poker chips.................wonder if they have one on ebay?
