For the past weekI first tried taking 10mg of Valium 3 times a day.  It worked but was too much in the mornings.  So we added klononpin 4 in mornings and  2 in the afternoon.  Then 10mg Valium.

I am felling ok during the days but the valuim helps with the evening, but it goes bad I had to once take an emergency 10mg Zyprexa.  WHen I took the combo with the Zyprexa
(I have taken as mauch as 80 long term, I felt normal for the rest of the day (5 hrs.)

Has anyone had this happen with Valium?

Hi Quietpain, I'm a little confused about what you are asking (I blame it on the recent bump to noggin!!).  You are taking the valium 10mg three times a day but it was a bit heavy in the morning ?? so you switched to klonopin in mornigs/afternoons and zyprexa for emergencies.  I'm not really knowleadgable on all these meds, but I have been taking valium for 10 years or so and I know that it can have a "re-bound" effect sometimes, which means that when it wears off Isometimes feel worse than before I took it.  Maybe this is happening for you?

I understand how frustrating and scary this whole process can be..keep talking to your doc, you will find the right balance eventually, it just can take time.  Stay strong, keep posting and know that we care about you.  I really  hope things settle down for you.

Relax..things will work out and so will your meds :)
On the positive side you have been to the Doc and got some help and meds for your anxiety - excellent...It sometimes takes a little while to adjust and fine tune these to find out what's best for you...please post soon and let us know of your progress.

Good Morning quietpain.

This is Kitt and I am sorry your still having trouble getting that med cocktail mix perfected.  I know how frustrated you are and you have every right to  be.

I was at 40 mg of Valium at one time but have been weaned down to 4 mg per day divided in 2 doses.  I never had any interactions with my other meds. I guess I would wonder why your physician switched you to Klonopin for morning and afternoon instead of decreasing the dose of Valium for those doses.  I am sorry I am not real familiar with Zyprexa but it seems like it is used prn ( as necessary) as a replacement for the benzos. 

Maybe someone else has more info.  You know you are here with us and your family so we will support you and help you through this.
