Lexapro Effects

Just recently starting taking 20mg of Lexapro as prescribed by doctor to settle some anxiety issues that bring forward physcial symptoms. This is my fourth day and have a upset stomach, am very tired and I have been yawning a lot. I was wondering if anyone has experienced these same symptoms before? How long will they last? Should I reduce to 10mg or ride it out?

They sound like the usual suspects when it comes to new med side effects. This period usually lasts 1-2 weeks, if it continues longer than that or the symptoms get worse, please see your prescribing doctor. You may need a lower dose or a different med. I hope these side effects clear up soon and that the Lexapro works out for you.

Yep these are the exact same side effects I had with staring Lexapro, for me they certainly did go away, and it has been very beneficial for anxiety.

I was put on 10 mg and I had all of those same symptoms. I started taking it 30 min. before bed and that seemed to help being overly tired. When I took it in the morning I was overly tired through the day.
