Fluttering new A/P symptom

Hello all.  I have received such great support and advice with this forum and therefore am going to ask ANOTHER question of you all.

As most of you know I have had A/P for about two years and take citalopram 40mg daily.  I also have had GERD for about two years (this was the onset of my A/P) and take Omeprozole 40mg daily.

Here is my question: I have recently begun having fluttering in my body, however I can't tell if the fluttering is coming from my stomach or my heart.  The fluttering continues one after another and takes my breat away, of course this enhances and triggers my anxiety.  With in the past two years, I have had every non-invasive test done on my heart (stress,ekg, holter moniter etc.) and every test says normal.

Does anyone else experience these symptoms?  I know that A/P can have many many symptoms, but of course I am worried about my heart, even though I have been told everything is normal.  Can this be from my stomach, and if it is why can't I tell it is from my stomach and not my heart?

Thanks for the reply Meg.  I have talked to my PCP and he told me that he doesn't know what it is.  He says he doesn't know what else to do for me, with the exception of taking some alprazalam because it has some muscle relaxant in it.  Well I have taken the alprazalam and still have the symptoms until of I fall hard a sleep for six hours then wake up with the fluttering.  Isn't that why they call doctors "practicing"?????????

i got the heart flutters and thummps usually when i lay down, but I get an occasional thumpp in my chest even when I think I am anxiety free,
it is very distressing, and yes panic sure can follow, i just started Lexapro again (anitdepressant) and i also take Librium for anxiety 25 mg-50mg if really bad, I noticed when I dont eat right, or dont drinks lots of water and stop exercise they get worst. I recently just started college again and have not had time to be as healthy so now i notice them (heart palps) more. I am having an echocardiogram 2morrow because I do have an :heart murmur: so we will see. You should see your Dr and ask for a referell for Echo so they can actually see the structure of your heart and valves. It may ease your mind.

I notice the flutters also more when I lie down and also notice them when I feel no anxiety.  I have had an echo, and they say everything is normal.  I have not noticed if I get it worse when I am eating different (spicy or greasy) food or drink a lot of coffee.
