a poem for you

Hello Everyone
I wrote this poem some time ago. It was raining outside and it just came to me. Hope you like it.

"LISTEN TO THE RAIN"

Listen to the rain,
pitter, patter

Here it comes again
Like nature's music.

Thoughts of rain sparkling
like diamonds in the moonlight,

The night calls me
to a place so lovely,

in the quiet of the darkness
what a peaceful feeling,

Listen to the rain
Pitter, patter!

I really like these lines:

The night calls me
to a place so lovely,

in the quiet of the darkness
what a peaceful feeling,

They're just so soothing, and make me think of warm summer evenings as dusk, a little breeze, peeper frogs and crickets chirping. What a good way to let go of some tension and worry.
