Here is a link to a site that lists all the phobias and if you look at the list you will see almost everyone alive must have a phobia of some kind.  Do they let it stop them from living a good life............ ???  So lets start to identify the methods on dealing with phobias each of you can think of for your phobia.  :-)

Well. . . Let's see. . .

 

I have Dinophobia which is a fear of dizziness (not a fear of watching Jurassic Park:) lol tongue

 

And I think so many people, including myself, have Panthophobia which is a fear of suffering and disease.

 

I did now know there was so many different types of phobias Kitt. . . Most of them seem wild to me, and I sure feel sorry for the people that these names were created for! shakehead

I also have dinophobia. I can never find anything online about it except for what it means. I was beginning to think I was the only one that had it. It sounds so stupid sometimes when I have to explain to someone why I'm avoiding a certain activity like riding on a merry go round or why I have to leave the room because the ceiling fan bothers me. I think dizziness scares me more than if I were stuck in a room with a angry lion.

Aerophobia (scared of hights)

Scared of inclosed spaces or being trapped. Being tightly bound and not having the control of my limbs.

And a weird one that I've never admitted to... but a fear of patterns and geometry in nature, bee hives, sunflower seeds... some flowers in general. Even mentioning them makes me sick to my stomach - actually stay away from geometry all together.

Which is funny because i love growing vegetables, just not flowers. Mushrooms are fine, eh? Who knows.... and I like numbers but not shapes?

huh :P

I've never tried anything for treatment... I just avoid those things... if I see them I get an instant sense of panic and don't know what to do.

Agoraphobia- had it since i was 10

Coulrophobia- fear of clowns (saw stephen king's IT way too young)

Ligyrophobia- loud noises (very noise sensitive)

Photophobia- fear of light. i dont fear it, but due to meds and illness, it does distress me.

Thermophobia- fear of heat. i dont cope well with heat, it agitates me and puts me right on edge.

IMHO, I think we can add phobia to anything that keeps us from moving through life in the way we plan.  Some of the phobias I would just avoid if I had them but others like Agoraphobia need to be dealt with.

So it is phobia kicking time...........  smhair

I totally agree that phobias keep us from doing so much and we need to kick them to the curb
