..HI all

idea

I have done alot of thinking since reading a few posts ( no ones in particular k ) and it seems to me that somewhere we have or we are losing the FAMILY that we know luv and support

AS you all know this is a place to come during the worst of times and even the best of them smilewinkgrin

Coming here to talk about it all to your family may help you put things in perspective

Sharing your steps and the pride is also a great thing to do here I have always believed it will help out someone yeah

I know I was gone a bit but that could not be helped I was in the darkest of holes n

ready to give up cry

Lil sis did not give up on me and I am glad she didnt ...... turn .

I was on for a bit yesterday and I am touched by all you have said ......

WE ALL make this forum work and we ALL are a family that have supported all that come here

I am proud of all for that

I just wanted to say lets get that family totally back .....it makes all the diference in the world I believe

Anyone with their opinions plz do post tongue

Well said this forum is by far the best and that is because it feels like a family. It is a place were we can come and speak to people who can relate to how anxiety can affect our life, we can share our experiences and help and support each other through the good and bad times. I agree it is important to share the positive steps we have made as others may gain from this and then make there own steps to improve there situation. I have had great support here from members and really happy to have found this forum and the members which make up this great family. I also like to help others and find this also helps me to deal with my own anxieties. This is a great place to share our goals and help others to take one step at a time and beat there anxiety, depression and addictions etc etc. We need to work together to keep the family together and im sure we will do that, I have enjoyed meeting you all and made some great friends.

Lyn great to see you back on the forum and thanks for posting this thread.

I have not answered yet had to get a HW fix first lol....BUT I will

Yes no one needs to be disrepected

Many can be so depressed or overamped and NEED us so we have to help them as a family should right

This family will always welcome new members and be the best we can be in our support and caring

......WE have had our shares here of misunderstandings on the forum but that is easy to do in the written ( typed ) world but we also have gotten thru them

 

I truly had a hard time when I was given a different ( generic ) Pain med of Morphine it put me into such a deep dark depression I could not even call Lil sis

I was hurting big time..Doc changed me to Oxycontin and I am 110%

But she never gave up on me and for that I am Blessed and I am back FULL THROTTLE

 

AS WELL the members here didnt forget me and you know when I signed on yesterday I literally balled my face off when I saw that.......

NOW that is truly family to me smilewinkgrin

I care so deeply for each of you

Some of course like you and others have a special place in me heart

Thats because of all we have been thru together

I will get to know other members and them me .........

 

THat is a friend a family member and my lil sis smilewinkgrin

Whilst gone I did think of you all and I wish I could have made self come to the puter but I just could not

** I KNOW I can count on all of you to bring this about and get right back into the way we were

We havent strayed to far and thats a good thing

There is no better place for anxiety and Panic on the internet than HW

It is our members and all that we do share

The support and caring we truly show and mean

So glad to see you back and happy to hear that you are feeling better.  You certainly have been missed.  I agree that this is a wonderful family and there is no better support on the web than right here on HW, so we need to keep everyone together!

Do you really think anyone of us could every forget you?  I don't think so nono

You are a force on here and HW would never be the same without you dear friend  tongue

I love this forum and all of our family also and am so blessed to be a part of this great team!  Like any family we will have bumps in the road and pick ourselves back up again better and stronger than ever.  There is nothing that can keep us down but ourselves. . . I see this everyday with all the tragedy that touches so many lives, and everyone still posts giving so much support and love to each other anyway :)  If that is not true strength and determination, then I don't know what is.  I am proud to have met so many great people that have been an inspiration to me.  Thank you all so much for that.  You have saved my life in many so many ways and that is the best gift in the world!

you guys really do all seem like a family. i think that's wonderful!:-) it's something to strive for, i think, especially on a forum like this when what's being talked about is so personal and so difficult.

i know i am a new attendee and so am not quite part of the family yet (this is more because of me than any of you-it takes me awhile to feel comfortable and find my place in new places. i've been posting on the fibro board for 3 months, and am just now starting to feel comfortable there!), but hopefully one day i can be part of it!

YOU did hold this place together with all the luv and caring you give without hesitation..your unselfish acts of kindness looking up info for ppl and posting so much to help those in need

YES we do make a tag team always have from the get go but YOU did just as well as I could have done and more

smilewinkgrin ....YA HEAR ME.......... tongue

NO one here knows JUST what you have gone thru in the last year plus the yrs prior more than me we yak and yak like old women lol on the telephone and I love every minute o it ( not only cuz its free roflmbo) but because we know one anothers thoughts complete each others sentences ect.........

With all that you have on your plate you DID NOT give up on me lil sis and that is what makes you so special in my heart and makes me feel like we are truly sisters........

Tjhis place would be fine w/o me as long as you ae here an the other mods to help you out

They did good helping out as well ..........

THAT IS what HW and Family is all about RIGHT.........

Moderators are sick too but most times we dont bring our troubles here as we are kept busy reading posts and keeping forums safe and on the go ...........

I AM NOT putting any of you down or saying that yous did not do what you signed up to do

I am just saying that I have a special place in my heart for Kitt as so many others do here

Lil sis has really helped me in my dire needs in the last yr and I am forever indebted to her

 

I am also very indebted to the other moderators for helping her and dave keep this forum running smoothly and safely............

Big Sis,

Aw poop, now I have tears in my eyes.  You know I look up to you and to AK and from the beginning you have taken me under your wing and helped me, protected me when I was down and supported me always.

I know I sometimes keep my issues to myself as they seem so small compared to what I read here but then they boil over and I call you and cry on your shoulder.  When you are missing I worry so about you and I know your problems so I have a legitimate right to be afraid for you.  I always just wish I could come to your side and just hold your hand.

We have weathered these episodes in the past where the forum starts to get a bit narly but we pulled it back together.

Having the new mods is a blessing and AK, your support and allowing me to hug a caribou really helped. smhair

I am proud to be a part of this family and I am loyal to A & P and HealingWell.

I would be lost without all of you.

Just had a bad moment, weaning off the AD is a bit nutso but I am making it so far.

Gentle Hugs to everyone....................and you all know my email is open.................so I am available and will get back to anyone ASAP.

Well, it's good to see everyone all joyous and stuff. :)

I have to say, though, that the A/P forum and the Crohn's forum don't really seem like family to me (nothing can put me into a bad state of mind quicker than family, it seems like. Not to mention all the family drama, the constant yelling and fighting)...

I'd say you guys are more like... really close friends. :)

That is okay Celey :) We are here for you as a close friend as well :) I also have many people in my family that are all about the drama as well, and I totally understand where you are coming from :) I personally have more friends that are like family, than family that are friends. . . It happens to the best of us and I personally choose to pick those that have the honor of being family to me. I think I kind of like that level of control, lol :)

I also just showed up after disappearing for about a year.  After Dad died and the Parkinsons kept getting worse I was pretty much lost also.  I've retired and I'm getting DBS surgery in three days.  I was just cruising around a little trying to see what was going on with some of the familiar names.  I'm still cancer free according to the doctor and the possibility of leukemia turned out to be "only" ITP.  You don't want me to spell that one out, but look it up if your white blood cell count is falling.  My initial reaction today is that the forum has improved, and it was great before.  The regular members are indeed a family, but better.  If you've been around for awhile you know the old "it's always your turn and no one will interrupt" routine and it's true.  When Dad was tossing the word salad I would hope that he would just be quiet.  I would really love to hear him again.  You may be sitting alone and lonely, but the world is at your fingertips even if, like mine, the tips are feeling a bit numb.--the Riviera guy

I also have lost my dad just not long ago
I would have given anything to hear his voice on my BD but als It was not going to happen
I get thru this all Mom and dad dying within 2 yrs of one another by celebrating their lives and what they did for us kids
What they taught us and I am not saying that tears dont fall as they do

Yes we are a family here and we all depend on each other

I am very close to Kitt ( lil sis ) and also have a lil spot in me heart for AK ....Cowboy
WE have come thru so much together

The members here all have spots in my heart and I wory about them as well

I think this is such a great forum as everyone is so supportive and there for each other! This is the only anxiety thing I look at on the internet now! You guys are really great, I'm only new here but you are all so supportive, it's wonderful! It's nice to have people who understand.

The supportive setting that's developed here is a real blessing. And I so value the fact that we can share our thoughts, feelings, and fears without worrying about being judged, or put down, or ignored.

Even if we don't agree, folks on this forum try to be respectful of others. That's such a healing sensation on those days when the people around physically - at work, home, the store, or wherever - are more into boosting themselves by smacking down others.

Thanks, all of you, for being the great family (or really good friends, like Celey says) that you are.

I enjoy coming to this forum because you guys really do treat everyone like family, i've felt so welcomed here since my first post. I'm comfortable here because i can relate to someone finally and you guys actually understand what i'm going through.

P.S. I was flipping through my psychology textbook and there's a whole chapter in it devoted to anxiety disorder and disorders of that nature.....i cant wait till we discuss that chapter in class, she'll have my full attention!!!!!

Great post. We are all a family, not by blood, but by a common bond of anxiety and panic disorders. Everyday ,as my anxiety continues to diminish and I am blessed to return to an emotional state  far better than  what it was before my first panic attack in 1992, I praise God that I have been granted this tool of learning called Anxiety and Panic. This amazing tool of panic and anxiety has taught me humility and compassion. For that I am grateful. I am grateful also for this wonderful forum in which we can support each other as a rock-solid family. When I had rough sailing around the first of Jan..you..my family online were there in my moment of need. I will do my part as much as humanly possible given the demands of life..We will do this together.

This is a FAMILY

WE have gone thru SO much and together we WILL get thru anything that comes our way

We are a caring sharing empathetic and supportive group of ppl
I truly believe that it is a GIFT of the anxiety and panic as well as Depression that makes us more understanding and supportive to others
