Simple? You're kidding, right? //>.>\\'... My goodness... (It's so hard to choose just ten... there are so many books I like, and I'm an avid reader)

1. Anything written by Terry Pratchett (The Hogfather, The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Guards! Guards!, etc.)

2. Anything written by Dave Barry (He's written a few books, but he's mainly a humor columnist for the Miami Herald. You could probably find some of his columns online. I sure have.)

3. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles (A series of books by Patricia C. Wrede, which inspired me to become a writer)

4. Sherlock Holmes

5. Gil's All-Fright Diner

6. Anything written by Zilphea Keatley Snyder (The Headless Cupid, and it sequels... And I think she also wrote Witches of Worm, but I can't quite remember. A good book, though.)

7. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (really sad)

8. The Wayside School stories (They're kids' books, yes, but they were my second journey into absurdity. Who could forget the psychologist who hypnotized people? "When you pick up a cigarette, it will become a worm... And when your husband says "potato" you must slap him.)

9. Anything by Dr. Seuss (First books I've ever read and my first journey into absurdity. It all began with a shoe on the wall.)

10. And Then There Were None (What can I say? I like those old-school mysteries.)


... //>.>\\'... I also recommend reading books by the Dalai Lama (he wrote a book about happiness; it was wonderful.) William Slater (I believe that's his name. He's written a lot, though, my favorite is Parasitic Pig)...

Oh! Oh! Orson Scott Card! He's written mostly science fiction, but I love his fantasy books best of all... (Enchantment or Enchanted, can't remember which... Oh, and Magic Street *kind of disturbing, but good*)...

I also enjoy books by Michael Shermer... (if I remember right, he doesn't believe in God, and this does slip into his writing. But his books are very informative and useful. It encourages skepticism and boos the many scam artists that are out there)

I could go on and on... :)... (I'm not very keen on reading biographies myself, but I did read Steven King's little... memoirs on writing, which kinda has his biography in there)...

also-celey-i love dave barry! i've been reading him since i was a teenager.

and sam-my daughter and i read the twilight series together, too! (well, she read them long before i did, then convinced me to read them this past summer). i wasn't sure if i would like them, but i ended up really enjoying them. (edward is so dreamy! yes, i am a grown woman saying this..lol) have you finished the whole series? so many exciting things happen in breaking dawn and i thought it was a great finale, but i was kind of sad to see the series end.
