Comforting words download?

I feel that if i had something I could download to copy to CD so I could relax, it may help.

Itunes has audiobooks, but I'm not sure if any are any good.

My daughter uses the audio books all the time but she just gets them from the library.  Amazon.com has tons of them.................just click under our resources to the right and you will find Amazon's link.

My daughter  has to do some long distance driving when showing her dogs so she always has a supply of audio CDs with her.  She swears they are the only thing that help her relax when driving long distances.

I agree with Kitt here :) Amazon does have tons of great stuff that can be accessed through HW which helps keep our forums going! I also listen to light classical music to relax. . . Not everyone's cup of tea but a thought just the same :)

Could you suggest some and links to them, or titles on itunes? I already have Dr. Claire Weekes CD and some other guy (What is mindfulness?) I forgot his name.

I'd like to be able to relax without doing relaxation exercises. They don't seem to help that much, but something soothing relaxes me.

Check our resources center to the right, click on books and you will find lots of info as well as a link to Amazon where you can search their site.

Here are a couple I have heard good things about:

Indigo Dreams: Adult Relaxation-Guided Meditation/Relaxation Techniques decrease anxiety, stress, anger by Lori Lite (Audio CD)

Healing Anxiety and Depression by DANIEL G AMEN (Audio CD)

Thanks, I am not much of a reader, cannot concentrate on the words, but listening to someone with my eyes closed seems to help.

If you have a psychologist or psychiatrist, they may have cd's available. Some of them make up their own. I received one from the woman who taught me biofeedback. I've had it 18 years. I actually don't need to listen to the tape anymore because I've got it memorized. But it's one of the things that pulled me out of terrible anxiety.
