Hi...the only thing I have remotely familiar to what you are describing is when I am really anxious I get this 'startle' sensation and I hear a 'whoosh' in my ears when I turn my head or move suddenly. It's almost like an adrenalin head rush and it comes with movement. Noise triggers it...I jump a mile in the air with any loud sound...even the hubby slamming the oven door. Blinking my eyes does it! I was told the blinking of the eyes is actually a startle stimulator.
Personally, I think it's all about the adrenalin and when we are anxious we get an exaggerated sensation from it. Once I stopped being so scared when it happened it eased up. I still get it, especially in the morning but I am trying very hard to ignore it. I have had it happen in my chest and stomach also.
Hope you feel better...
Donna
