Fear Of Swallowing?

There is a very old topic on this, but I think there may be some new members with the same disorder.

When I was in the 6th grade, I had a bad experience while taking a rather large pill and I developed a fear of swallowing all together, it lasted months, but I finally forced myself to eat again and recovered in a year or so.
I'm now in my senior year and was having panic attack after panic attack before a week long trip my father and I were making out of country. I had this fear of swallowing the food in front of me overcome me.

It was scary, I recognized this feeling and I knew that I needed to ignore it.

I got back from the trip around two weeks ago and am still suffering from the problem.

I do eat solids, I manage to push it down and can even get through a whole burger, but that thought never leaves my mind... all day. All day, all I think about is how I can't eat.

It's driving me absolutely crazy!

Does anyone else suffer from this or has suffered?

When I have problem swallowing food, it really scares me, I always need water with food. I don't really like solid food.

Oh Wow,,I have developed this problem in the past 3 weeks. I choked on a bite of cheeseburger and panic set in. Everytime I ate something dry or hard I was worried I would choke so I started eating soft things. NOW,,,,I am afraid to eat anything like meat, bread, or anything that does not slide down easily.
Problem is.instead of getting better it is getting worse and now I am in full fledged panic when faced with anything that's not soft.
I thought it was funny and told my husband when I choked, it would be a great diet if I choked on everything I ate and then the next day I developed this phobia and now I seriously can't eat much unless it is pulverized.
