Hey guys...I am a moderator on the GERD board, but due to family and personal problems, haven't been here in a while. I actually started out on the anxiety and panic disorders board because for 10 years, I have suffered from panic attacks, and actually about 2 years ago, was agoraphobic. Thanks to Lexapro, Xanax, and my friends here, I made it through that.
Well, over the past several months, my anxiety has been creeping up again. Things have been rough, and I am back to having several panic attacks a day, and have been using Xanax 1 to 3 times daily to get me through the attacks.
Today, I finally went back to the psychiatrist...the same one who helped me through my last big episode, and she prescribed me some things that are causing me to worry...and at the moment, making my anxiety worse.
She prescribed Klonopin .5 mg when I get up, and before bed. Zoloft, not sure of the dose at the moment, but a low dose, when I get up, and 50 mg of Trazodone before bed.
Of course, being who I am, I came home and looked at all the side effects. I am not worried about the Klonopin, I have been on that before, and I welcome it, because at one point, it helped me greatly. I am terrified of the Trazodone, because it seems to have effects on the heart. And, it doesn't sound like it's cool to put the 3 together.
She is the doctor, and wouldn't do anything to hurt me, I am ASSUMING.
I guess my question is...has anyone ever had this combination, or been on the Trazodone and or Zoloft...I am curious on side effects, and how it helps, if it helps with panic disorder.
I am not taking the meds tonight, except the Klonopin, because I have to work tomorrow, but I did take an entire week off work to get adjusted to all of this insanity.
Any thoughts will be much appriciated.
THANK YOU ALL...and my apologies for the length of this!
