Sertraline and Clonozepam

hi.. this is my first post in this forum, i have very high expectations to receive help to cope with the anxiety that i have.

i got into sertraline 100 mg in March 2004, along with clonazepam 0.5 mg (1/2 - 1/2 - 1) and continued till June 05. Had to restart again in Nov 2005, and have been on it since. i tapered off clonazepam in 07, and was only on sertraline 50 mg by 2008.

i had a bout of stress in june 09 and upped to sertraline 100 mg and 0.5 mg of clonazepam bed time. it went well till end aug, but again i have a slight discomfort in terms of anxiety.

do i need to ask if i should get into clonazepam 0.5 mg (1/2 - 1/2 - 1) ? my doc is very good and always works with me, goes with my experience in deciding the dose as he sees me experienced since 2004.

Pls advise to your best.

Sounds like you may need to ask. i take the Zoloft 100mgs daily and i can use up 0.5mgs of clonazapam daily if needed but never do i take that many i can honestlty say that i can go for days of weeks without having to take any clonazapam but it depends on anxiety levels. Im sure you know what i mean, also to after taking it at the same levels all the time people sometimes become somewhat tolerant to them so they may not work as well. Anyway im no expert this is just my opionion keep in touch and let me know how things go. Twiggy2.

Only your doctor can answer that question. Im on 150mgs of sertraline and it works well, but i take it with Xanax.

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  I think you answered your own question and perhaps are looking for how these meds work for others ? :-)

Sounds like you have a great advocate in your physician.  I would certainly take his advice if he has helped you well in the past.
